Netbooks are not about to disappear, ultra-thin notebooks will continue
6th Jul 2011

Normally you would expect to find the AMD Llano processor in a desktop computer, but in many cases, it is bound to disappoint due to the lack of power. Therefore, what HP HSTNN-CBOW have has done is taken this processor in put inside their latest laptop, the new HP Pavilion dv6z Quad

This uses electronic 'flash memory' similar but superior to what's found in a common USB thumb drive.

Solid state drives are phenomenally faster than mechanical hard disks, especially when it comes to starting up and shutting down the NBP6A174B1 laptop. They're also much quieter and can eke out some extra battery life because they have no moving parts.

The base model of the Pavilion dv6z comes with a 15.6 inch diagonal High Definition LED HP WD548AA Battery Bright view Display with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolution. It will be powered by the AMD Quad-Core A6-3400M Accelerated Processor with 2.3 GHz or 1.4 GHz, 4MB L2 Cache and the graphics are provided through the excellent AMD Radeon Discrete Class 1 GB Graphics card.

Many business travellers contemplating their next laptop purchase have been considering the ultra-thin and light MacBook Air range, especially since Apple dropped its prices so much.

When it comes to storage, the base model starts with a 640 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection as well as 6 GB of DDR3 memory. Networking is through the 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth connection too. It has a very capable 6 Cell Lithium Ion HP PP2171M Battery as standard which can offer Up to 5.5 hours of battery life according to HP.

For most people, DVD drives lie dormant except for occasional software reinstalls, or loading the occasional presentation or document provided by a company on a CD. With the world having moved on to USB HSTNN-DB0H HSTNN-SB0H memory keys, internet-based cloud storage and movie downloads, DVD drives are much less important than they once were.

In fact, you will find that this range is slightly larger than most laptop ranges with around eleven different models now available from the Hp Compaq Business Notebook NC6000 Battery online store. This model is all about choice and there are plenty of choices to be made, such as, it can be powered by either a 1.4 GHz AMD Quad-Core A6-3400M, 1.6 GHz A6-3410MX, 1.5 GHz A8-3500M, 1.8 GHz A8-3510MX or the 1.9 GHz A8-3530MX processor and there is a choice in screen resolution too, the buyer being able to choose from either the 15.6 inch 1366 x 768 or the 1920 x 1080 display.

And we're still seeing a good portion of the littlest laptops known as 'netbooks', which were conceived as a low-cost HP COMPAQ Presaio cq42 battery model for school and uni students but have become a 'second PC' for many users – including an appealing go-anywhere laptop for the small business set.

After all, most of the simplest business tasks you need to do on the road can be done on a netbook – without the physical heft or high price tag of a regular notebook, and with added appeal such as a HP 586028-341 Battery that'll run all day without recharging.

So while touch-screen tablets and ultra-thin notebooks will continue to be the high-tech travel hits of 2011, netbooks are not about to disappear.
